Know Them? Police Seek Duo Who Burglarized Newark Deli

Authorities in Newark are seeking the public's help identifying two men they say stole merchandise and more than $1,000 in cash from a deli in Newark.

Two men stole numerous packs of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, hundreds of lottery tickets and more than $1,000 in cash from Krauszer's Food Store & Deli (226 Halsey St.), authorities said.

Two men, pictured above, exited a white pickup truck and broke into Krauszer's Food Store & Deli (226 Halsey St.) around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said in a release.

The men stole numerous packs of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, hundreds of lottery tickets and more than $1,000 in cash before fleeing east in the vehicle on Maiden Place and turning right on Treat Place, Ambrose said.

The first suspect was wearing a black and white face mask, a blue shirt and blue jean shorts, authorities said.

The second suspect was wearing a yellow bandana, black tank top and gray sweat pants, authorities said.
